Using this in my RN-BSN course. I have to say I had no issue with my ADN pathophys course, plus I am already an RN so I did not expect to be so confused by this book. Concepts are explained poorly, and leave out important details. I am a visual person, I love pictures and illustrations. If that is you, you will be disappointed. There are very few illustrations, and the ones featured lack things that I feel should be included. I tend to prefer Google to complete my homework, rather than dig through this book.
I needed this book for my pathophysiology class. I have been reading it throughout the semester without a problem. Now, as I near finals week, I turn the page - Chp 45, p.1146 - and the next page is Chap 39, p. 1003. After page 1018, the book returns to Chp 46, p. 1163. I am missing 15 pages of text that is mandatory reading. It is of course past a return date, but surely other textbooks had this error. I am going to try and contact the book's publisher.UPDATE: Contacted the publisher and they sent me a new book free-of-charge without any hassles. THANK YOU to Amazon and Wolters Kluwer Customer Service.
This is the second damaged book I have received. The first one was coming apart at the binding. This one I received today has the binding held together with tape. It won’t last a week. I’m writing this to put it on record that these books are disasters waiting to happen.
This book had the pages folded on one of the ends pretty badly. Additionally, the pages fall out and are not attached correctly. The binding is also torn. It was not was I expected it to be, and wanted to return it but couldn't because my class started.
as expected and delivered - Thanks! Book has a lot of info and its not laid out as well as other books in this field. More old school style lots of words (tiny words) on white pages ... like ants after about an hour of reading.
This is a very helpful book. It's a great source for people interested in pathophysiology and learning how diseases occur in the body, how to treat it and what causes it. I absolutely recommend it for everyone and for all people in health field.
This book is a great overview of pathophysiology. I got rid of most of my books from school but I will definitely be keeping this one for reference.
There’s a lot of knowledge packed into each page but concepts are often mapped out visually too which helps drive the idea home.
