Fiction rarely holds my attention for long, but I had a hard time putting this book down! I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series. I actually bought the other two books when I was about halfway through Out of the Shadows because I knew I was going to want to read them too!
From page one the story takes off and has you hooked. Its a fast pace story, easy to follow. Very likeable characters and some you will hate. This book made me an emotional mess. I felt Amy's stress and Lira's pain , I cried with them and i felt the fear down to my bones when the plot took a twist I didn't see coming until it was to late. I couldn't put it down. I finished this book in lest than a day. Its that well written.This series is a must own. Hope you get a copy today.

I really enjoyed Out of the Shadows. It’s great seeing the relationship between Amy and Lira develop. But if violence against women upsets you, then you might need to skip this one.
I love strong female characters and the storyline was exciting and intriguing. I really enjoyed it and now number two is waiting for me.
This book drew me in instantly and had me on a roller coaster of emotions and suspense. The characters feel so real and relatable. I can't wait for the next book!
Awesome series!
Authors do not usually allow their main characters to be normal. This one does. I found this gem of a book by accident. One of a very select few that the average reader can relate to. The opening few pages are truly horrifying. And then we get to the normal part. Two characters get caught up in a horrific ordeal. The kidnapping and torture of one torments the other. Over the course of two days they each experience a different kind of hell. One vows revenge and gets it. She doesn't hold off at the last minute. She gets her revenge. And for months afterwards, as she endures yet another different kind of hell, she wants to do it all over again so she can torture the animal. She feels no shame over this, no guilt, just an overwhelming need for him to suffer again for the hell he inflicted on someone she loves deeply. However she does not neglect what she has to do to support and encourage the one she loves. A strong book, emotional, at times horrific, but always believable. A normal reaction to what any normal person would feel in the same situation. A very strong ending but not for one minute does the author allow readers to forget everything they went through to get there. Highly recommended.
