Another cute addition to the Sorensen family. I liked Daisy and Jack a lot, and I enjoyed their relationship. They had great chemistry, and they really respected each other. The kids were well written and weren't an overwhelming part of the book. I enjoyed the side characters, especially seeing Daisy's family again. The things that kept Daisy and Jack apart were natural based on their previous histories, so it didn't feel like there was any artificial conflict. Highly recommended. And this series works as standalones - you can read them in any order. So if this one strikes your fancy, start with it. If you've read the others, this one is just as good.
I like a good "what do you mean...this is supposed to be my place this week" mix-up. Single mom Daisy Sorensen is surprised to find a man in the kitchen of the house she has been lent for the week. And, not just any man but the handsome Lt. Governor of the state of Utah! Before they can sort out the problem, reporters show up on the porch steps to interview him as he is soon to be taking the spot as Governor. Of course, finding him in the house with the single mom and her three kids puts him in a bad spot and, to salvage both his and her reputations, they fake an engagement. Soon enough, their attraction turns real.Daisy is a strong, self-reliant (maybe TOO self-reliant) woman who is determined to give her kids the best life that she possibly can. But, on her own terms. Widower David is a caring father and all around great guy. The kids are portrayed realistically and I enjoyed their antics. All of the characters are exceptionally well done and I really enjoyed this book. And, it has an epilogue! I'm a gal who really appreciates a good epilogue! 4 1/2 StarsNo sexual situations to offend any readers.
I LOVED this series. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED each of the books. I seriously hope the author moves onto family members related to the core family so this series can continue. This was a win for me as this author is a new one for me. While reading the first in the series I went and ordered the rest in the series so was able to binge read. What a wonderful time I had. Great Job and a big thank you for making it available in paperback!!! I want more so please consider the sister or other folks so we can see more. I would also love to see a longer epilogue as you have created such rich character and family. Perhaps a prequel with the story of the parents. What a series!!! denise bailey
This was such a fantastic story! I'd never read anything by this author before, so I really didn't know what to expect. I'm happy to say; that I was very pleasantly surprised at just how good it was. I guess I just found myself a new author to follow. The whole story moved along quickly. It was very well written, and so enjoyable to read. I also loved the whole family dynamic's, from beginning to end. Daisy's close- nit family sound like the perfect way to grow up, and beyond. I loved the way Jack and Daisy's two families got together, and how well they meshed together. I plan to go back and order the rest of this series, that's just how impressed I was. And believe me, that doesn't happen all that often.
A very interesting story of sadness and heartache followed by true love and future happiness. Family merging together is not always easy but for these families it is inevitable. A really heartwarming story of a forever love for everyone.
Love is not measured it happens when you least expect. So the story goes. Taking a leap of faith proved this when this story begins. Enjoy worth he read.
Very enjoyable, and super cute. But since this is the final book kinda wish the ending was longer and more final. Otherwise a very heartwarming story
I really like this family. I like how they watch out her. And when she needed help. They were there for her. And when you think it's over, you are at the being of something new.
