Be careful with this textbook, it's not 100% up to date with latest research! For example, for their rec treatment option for Bicornuate Uterus (a genetic abnormally with the structure of the uterus), they recommend a surgery called metroplasty. According to my RE friend, metroplasty is not recommended anymore for Bicornuate Uterus. It's now recommended to just watch the woman via regular u/s as her pregnancy develops. Also, very much lacking in information about "heart shaped uteri" in this textbook.Just take things you read in here with a grain of salt. Advancements in ART medicine happen very quickly, and it's best to keep abreast of what's happening- the latest and greatest in ART medicine- through subscribing to a peer reviewed medical journal, such as Fertility and Sterility.Be safe out there!
This book was required for my master's program in women's health and it has great diagrams and goes into great detail on the more complex issues women face and clinicians aim to correct. It is intense reading because of the complexity of the topics covered but it does a good job at trying to explain things using words and putting it with pictures and diagrams to help it come together. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone working in reproductive endocrinology/infertility.
